My name is David Caddy. I'm an ever-hopeful Richmond Tigers supporter, "software engineer" at Bosch Australia and independent developer based in Melbourne, Victoria.

Since 2010 I've owned and operated a small business, Armchair Engineering, which remains focused on building quality applications for iOS, Android and Mac.

I studied robotics and mechatronics at Swinburne University of Technology before landing at Bosch. My current position finds me mainly working on IoT (Internet of Things) projects within the agriculture sector.

I'm a big fan of podcasts, with a few of my favourites being the Accidental Tech Podcast, Under the RadarCore Intuition, Robots PodcastThe Skeptics Guide to the Universe and of course Hello Internet.

When not at my day job I spend much of my spare time in Xcode or Android Studio on my 13" Retina MacBook Pro, usually listening to one of the aforementioned podcasts or very possibly some smooth jazz. Most of my design work is done in the excellent Sketch 3, although Pixelmator gets a run every now and then depending on the task at hand.

I’m an amateur tea enthusiast, with my favourite blends include Ahmad's English Tea No. 1 and Madura's Earl Grey  and Green Tea & Jasmine.

You can find me online in the following places, please feel free to say g'day:
